Newport is getting a new pedestrian bridge on State Route 8, connecting the Ovation site to the new concert venue expected to open later this year.

Workers build a pedestrian bridge in Newport, Ky., on State Route 8, Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. The bridge will connect the Ovation site to the new concert venue. KY 8 will be closed between the Newport roundabouts from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday to install the new bridge.
