Greetings from Capps. Life in the "Heat dome", otherwise known as the dog days of summer, continues. My poor dog gave me the, "Just shoot me now" look one day last week. Lots of water and ice to go around. I cut hay and baled last week in the heat. It was nearly unbearable once the humidity came up. Still waiting for some parts for my tractor so I can finish up. I also started EMT training at Northark last week. It feels strange being a student again at 60 but the classes are free so that is nice. Pastor Eddie Reed's son, William, spoke at Capps Full Gospel last Sunday night. It was the Back to School service and he is a very successful coach in Southwest Missouri. Not Capps related but the Humbled Hearts ministry will be having a fundraiser today ( Saturday) at Camp Jack from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.There will be motorcycles, cars and food so come out and support a good cause. They help people break the cycle of addiction and dependency and begin sober lives. This writer is extremely grateful to God and supportive friends for over 36 years of clean and sober living. Blessings, Doug
