Nivea was a star in the early 2000s with hits such as “Don’t Mess with My Man” and “Laundromat.” Despite the success on the Billboard charts, though, Nivea’s love life was just as popular as her music career. During a recent visit to Kandi Burress’ YouTube show On That Note, the R&B singer revealed some interesting details on her relationship with Lil Wayne. According to Nivea, Weezy took his shot after seeing her video for the 2002 hit “Don’t Mess With My Man.” Weezy hit up her label and said he wanted to collaborate with the singer. When they met, the New Orleans legend made it known he had a thing for her. One thing led to another, and they were in love to the point that Wayne convinced Nivea to leave the industry and live with him in NOLA. However, Wayne ended up moving Toya Johnson into his home and marrying her.
