Rate-payers in two Kolombong neighbourhoods have been asked to refrain from growing fruit trees and decorative plants in the open space behind their homes as they are failing to maintain this greenery.
A spokesman for City Hall’s Landscaping Department said notices to this effect had been served to those staying in Taman Nountun Juta and Taman Bayu Mas at the beginning of the month.
This action was prompted by claims about the lack of maintenance carried out on the backyard drain reserve in these housing areas.
