Read Article NORWAY — The Select Board unanimously approved the 39 warrant questions for the June 14 Town Meeting during Thursday’s session. The Select Board accepted the proposed budget submitted by all departments except the Norway Paris Solid Waste board, cutting its $282,000 request to last year’s level of $262,000. The Select Board’s action follows a similar action by the town’s Budget Committee. The board cited the lack of detail in explaining the reason for the increase, including an increase in payroll; no amount in the proposed budget appeared earmarked for the future closing of the Frost Hill site; and the lack of explanation for the projected increase in disposal costs.
