Cassie Sainsbury has shown a new look in her latest social media posts, looking very different to the broken figure who languished in a tough Colombian prison. In her latest Instagram post, the convicted Australian drug smuggler said she plans a return to Australia 'really soon'. Sainsbury spent three years locked up in the notorious El Buen Pastor prison after being convicted for attempting to smuggle 5.8kg of cocaine hidden inside headphones in April 2017. She was released in April last year to serve the remainder of her six-year sentence under house arrest in the Colombian capital Bogota as officials sought to reduce overcrowding in jails amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
