Ocala police investigate multiple shootings The Ocala Police Department continues investigating a string of shootings that happened during a 15-hour stretch on Sunday. So far there have been no arrests. Two men and a woman were struck by gunfire at different locations. Of the three, Lorenzo Green of Ocala, died Wednesday at a hospital. He was 18, police officials said. That shooting has been classified as a homicide, officiers said. Police officials did not reveal where the victims were shot or how many times they were hit. According to Ocala police reports, here is a summary of what happened: • At 6:15 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to Northwest Seventh Avenue, where a home had been hit with at least a half-dozen gunshots. A 70-year-old woman was asleep inside and ran to the living room for safety. At the end of the gunfire, she realized she had been shot and yelled for someone to call the police.
