This marked the seventh day that COVID-19 patients have occupied less than 15% of staffed hospital beds in Laredo, meaning local businesses can expand their capacity to 75%. Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina announced that bars would also be able to open up to 50% capacity again without having to serve food. And the city is working with public health officials to determine if facilities such as recreation centers, sports fields and City Hall should reopen to the public in two weeks, City Manager Robert Eads noted.
