Oman's share index ends marginally lower By: United Securities Muscat: The MSM index closed at 3,725.35 points, down 0.15 per cent from the previous close. The Sharia Index ended up 0.53 per cent at 527.41 points. Al Jazeera Steel Products, up 7.33 per cent, was the top gainer while Raysut Cement, down 6.63 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of OIFC was the most active in terms of the number of shares traded while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover. A total number of 275 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR0.81 million, with more than 4.5 million shares changing hands. Out of 34 traded stocks, 10 advanced, 11 declined and 13 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR281,000 while GCC & Arab investors were net buyers for OMR143,000 followed by domestic investors for OMR60,000 worth of shares.
