Daily Post Nigeria Published Muslim women under the auspices of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Oyo State branch, have canvased for stringent punishment for those who involved in open defecation. They noted this is necessary in order to reduce the cases of open defecation that is still rampant in some rural and urban communities. The association made this disclosure on Monday while addressing journalists during a press conference heralding the association’s 2021 week in Ibadan with the theme “My Community, My Pride: Promoting General Well-being and Stopping Open Defecation. FOMWAN Amirah, Dr Bushra Oloso, who spoke on behalf of her colleagues, noted that open defecation is still common in some communities.
