The vibrant green leaves of crocuses, daffodils and other early spring flowers are emerging from bulbs planted beneath the warming Earth. The world was much different the last time their annual arrival signaled the changing of seasons, a resetting of time. There is great hope in the vaccines President Joe Biden says will be delivered into most American arms by the end of May, but one cannot honestly deny the global crisis that landed here last March has transformed nearly everything we thought we knew.
