Taylor is a community representative for Rep. Sara Jacobs of the 53rd Congressional District. She lives in Southeastern San Diego. My mom, Francine Maxwell, has been an active community member in Southeastern San Diego specifically in Encanto for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories of her commitment to our community are when she was Encanto Little League president. I remember late night meetings being held at the rec center at 7 o’clock, which, mind you, was extremely late for a 7-year-old, and early mornings sometimes as early as 7 a.m., very early for a 7-year-old, making sure the snack stand was stocked and the field was chalked. My mom worked tirelessly to make each baseball weekend an experience for the whole family.
