July 5, 2021 LAHORE: China’s acting consul general in Lahore, Peng Zhengwu, has said Pakistan should not be afraid of imperialism. Pakistan's sovereignty, territorial integrity, economic development, energy and building infrastructure are China's top priority. China has stood with Pakistan in difficult times, he added. He was addressing a seminar titled ''CPC 100 years and Pak-China saga”, organised by the Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR) at local hotel here on Sunday. Peng Zhengwu said a century ago, at the time of its establishment, the Communist Party of China (CPC) had just over 50 members. “Today, with more than 95 million members in a country of over 1.4 billion people, it is the largest governing party in the world and enjoys tremendous international influence,” he added.
