View Comments Pediatricians in the Cincinnati region are gearing up for giving COVID-19 vaccines to kids in their office practices, adding a layer of familiarity for parents and kids who are considering the inoculations. The FDA approved the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children ages 12-15 on May 10, and already, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is providing the vaccines at clinics, while others are anticipating a quick rollout of office-based vaccination. Dr. Chris Peltier of Pediatric Associates of Mount Carmel said he expects to receive a shipment of the vaccine to his office on Tuesday and to start in-office clinics on Thursday. He's also planning how to incorporate the vaccines as part of usual wellness checks, sports-team physicals, and other routine office visits that children typically get.
