(Photo supplied by Dione Wearmouth, MyPGNow.com staff) Shortly after 3:30 a.m. yesterday (Thursday), police received information from staff at University Hospital a man was in the emergency room with traumatic injuries. However, the victim did not survive and the matter is being treated as a homicide. “Preliminary information indicates that prior to arrival at the hospital the male was associated to a residence on the 900 block of Carney Street. Police are familiar with this residence as it was the subject of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant executed by the Street Crew Unit in March of this year. As such, investigators believe this was a targeted attack and there is currently no risk to the public,” stated Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
