Philly to install 130,000 LED streetlights during next 2 years

Philadelphia is replacing its 130,000 streetlights with LED lights that use less energy and eliminate the need to report outages to Philly311. The new streetlights will be installed over the next two years, beginning in neighborhoods with high crime and vehicular crashes. The project costs $91 million.
