Retail and construction were two areas that Picente highlighted.
Picente also said the county must reach about a 70% vaccination rate to help change what upcoming summertime activities may look like.
Almost 33% percent of the Oneida County adult population has received at least one vaccine dosage, the county said Monday, quoting statistics from the New York State Department of Health’s COVID-19 vaccine tracker.
According to the tracker, 59,247 people have had their first shots, with 35,904 having completed both doses. The vaccination brand was not disclosed, though Picente has noted the majority of vaccines used in Oneida County are either Moderna or Pfizer.
