DANVILLE, Va. â Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC, filed an action in the Danville Division of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia yesterday to provide a notice of condemnation to the owners of 31 pieces of land in Pittsylvania County. These properties will be used by Mountain Valley to finish the pipeline's course through northern Pittsylvania County to its terminus at the Transco compression station in east Chatham. This legal document, located on PACER, spells out each property, its location and its titleholders. These properties vary in size from 0.01 acres to 19.08 acres. "The easements are necessary for MVP to construct, operate and maintain an interstate natural gas pipeline and related facilities and appurtenances," the document's authors wrote.
