WALLINGFORD — Police are looking for a suspect in an attempted robbery at a local bank branch on Monday.
Police responded to Bank of America, 938 N. Colony Rd. around 10:36 a.m. on Monday for a reported attempted bank robbery, Lt. Michael Colavolpe said in a release. A middle-aged man approached a bank teller and handed over a note demanding money, Colavolpe said. No weapons were displayed. The man left without any money, and fled on foot toward the Route 68 overpass. Colavolpe noted a getaway vehicle was potentially waiting for the suspect.
