Police update: Fatal – Charges in Alice Springs
A 30-year-old man has been charged in relation to a fatal crash with a cyclist in Alice Springs at the weekend.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today charged with the following;
Dangerous Driving Causing Death
Possess Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug – Traffickable Quantity
Drive with Prohibited Drug in Body (Methamphetamine).
Police located an amount of drugs in close proximity to the crash site. The drugs were seized and will be forensically tested. It will be alleged that the man hid the drugs in the location immediately following the crash.
