It will be located on 2001 Kurth Drive, off of Sellers Road. Jefferson Enterprise Energy has committed to invest over $150 million into the community. “They have chosen Lufkin. It’s going to be at the old, abandoned power plant, and they’re going to be a recyclable, renewable energy company,” said Bob Samford, Lufkin’s development director. Samford said they are full steam ahead on the project and expect many changes to the 40-acre property.
