After all, financial planning is a relationship business and advisers are not paid to be verbally abused by their clients. However, things are not always what they seem. As a financial planner at law firm Irwin Mitchell, Jason Mountford says around 80 per cent of his work is dealing with personal injury clients who often require much more from their adviser than the nuts and bolts of financial planning.
