The Lake Huron Forever was established in 2017 to advance water quality protection and healthy sustainable communities on both sides of the lake. They recently awarded $50,000 to three organizations: the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation ($10,000), Friends of Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary ($25,000), and the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy ($15,000). The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation will use the funds to support their Green Ribbon Champion program, a restoration and stewardship program providing advice, support, and resources to shoreline residents.
