Proposed Amtrak route expansion could spur business, help environment in southwest Ohio

Five new Amtrak routes in Ohio would mean more options from Cincinnati to Cleveland and several points between, and it could attract new jobs and improve the environment, officials said.
The company’s proposal on more rail travel in Ohio includes routes connecting Cincinnati with Cleveland, Indianapolis, Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York and several other cities. Dayton would have an intermediate station stop connecting Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati.
