Quick Hits: December 14, 2020 Author: Dec 14, 2020 The Silent-Resorts concept from Austrian manufacturer Silent-Yachts — a project that uses its solar-powered boats as “floating sustainable villas” — has announced its first resort is slated to break ground in the Bahamas in 2021. The project is said to include 16, four-bedroom waterfront villas and eight Silent-Yachts catamarans, and will offer a beachside clubhouse and pool, restaurant, bar, fitness room, game room, and spa — all utilizing solar power. The first 25 founding memberships are now available: For $395,000, founders get a lifetime membership that grants access to one of its four-cabin yachts, a four-bedroom, on-land villa and the resorts’ facilities for five weeks or more per year.
