Renesas Electronics Corporation (Renesas for short), is a Japanese semiconductor manufacturer founded in 2002, started operation in 2010, and has over 19,000 employees. Semiconductors is their main market. Despite their young age Renesas is the worlds largest manufacturer for automotive semiconductor parts, the worlds biggest developer of microcontrollers, and was the world’s 6th largest manufacturer for semiconductors in the early 2000s.
