KTRK in Houston reports that 27 year old Benjamin D. Rivera, the roommate of Theresa Balboa, turned himself in to the Harris County Jail this morning and has now been charged in connection with the death of 5 year old Samuel Olson. Bond was set at $100,000. The body of the child was found in a room at the Best Western Motel on Highway 190, in Jasper, where Balboa was staying on June 1st. Rivera, is charged with Tampering/Fabricating Evidence and is currently in the Harris County Jail. Balboa also remains jailed on the same charge. Her bond is set at $600,000.00. Investigators say that Rivera helped move the childâs body in the apartment they shared, and also went to a WalMart to purchase a plastic storage box and duct tape and then placed the body into it.
