Staff Report ANNISTON, Alabama — The Robertsdale High School NJROTC air rifle team topped the field over the weekend of Jan. 9 at the Warhawk Open Air Rifle Match in Anniston, hosted by McDonough (Georgia) High School. The RHS Maroon team, which consists of Aidan Johnston and Gary Morin of RHS, Dianna Burke and Vivian Wilson of Elberta High School, finished first of 11 teams in the Sporter class with a score of 1,958, said RHS ROTC Commander Frank Starr. Targets are positioned at a distance of 10 meters (approximately 32.8 feet). Each shooter aims at 60 targets, 20 each from the prone (lying down) position, kneeling and standing. Each target is worth 10 points for a possible total of 600 points per shooter (2,400 points total for a four-person team).
