Two prominent South Jersey colleges have joined a growing number of higher education institutions statewide that will require students receive the COVID-19 vaccine in order to return to campus this fall. The push comes as schools here claim the shot is the best chance to return to a more normal college life. Rowan University on Thursday became the latest school to join the list, one day after Stockton University announced it would require the vaccine for on-campus students. With the addition of Rowan and Stockton, New Jersey now has 12 four-year colleges mandating students be protected against COVID-19. Rutgers University in March became the first college in the country to require the vaccine, including at its Camden campus.
