Notwithstanding the fact that there is this usual rally around the flag it gracing a president during a time of crisis and thats happening in every other country on the planet and virtually every state in the United States dollar tax rates went up and now theyre back down to where theyve been and joe biden is beating him by 6789 whites in some of the big respectable polls so that does excite me that yes fair enough fair enough ok the National Polls mean nothing at this point and if you compare it to 2016 joe isnt doing that well hillary was doing much better ok having said that when he going to win here let me you know let me go to hell and ellen. The real issue here is within the Democratic Party itself in its really centered on Bernie Bernie sanders ok they finally got him out ok they rallied their forces the media came in to save the day as well and it really gets down to the bernie bros and i dont use that term in a project pejorative way as many but i know a lot of bernie bros and they are fervent very smart people may have just much gumption as conservatives do this if we disagree but helen it really gets down to the progressive part of the party are they going to be won over by joe because joe has given them nothing to did. Yes i mean the good the ones who voted for hillary back in 2016 will probably fall in line behind joe personally i dont understand why people were willing to live up to her bernie this time around after he basically threw them under the bus and 1016. 00 telling them to vote for a candidate that went against everything that he stood for and now hes done that again so i think in the same world the progressives would probably try to vote 3rd party of course not living in the same world as many recent events have made clear but i dont buy them is not going to excite the progressive vote i think a lot of people stay home and i think a lot of people will vote for her apartment ok well richard how he says will joe biden reach out to be aggressive in any meaningful way because i have to agree with how and i mean bernie was on some not late night talk show when he was asked a very important question do you think joe can we didnt and he said yes and then ever all of us are saying why are you running ok and what was the last 4 years all about what was the last election all about because i would contend and i think you would probably agree with me that hes going to need a lot of progress across to you know get over the line to win because the party is very fractured so the same question i mean is job to give them anything because i see a lot of angsty on the part of bernie supporters and nks against bernie himself go ahead richard. So lets talk about this through the prism of issues Bernie Sanders is fervently in favor of habeas many people have health care as possible joe biden was instrumental as an aside when we got the Affordable Care act passed donald trump is in court today trying to strip tens of millions of people coverage who it creates this in condition so with progressives really care about issues like who has health care and who doesnt this is not a close call lets take Climate Change as an example barack obama and joe biden push very progressive Climate Change proposals having to do with the Power Industry and others and sign on to the paris climate deal donald trump says the Climate Change is a hoax so if progressives these people who backed Bernie Sanders really care about addressing Climate Change this existential threat this is not a close call you go issue by issue lets take gun violence barack obama and joe biden push ways in which we should limit access to guns not interfering with the 2nd amendment god forbid but making sure that we reduce gun violence double trouble things we should do nothing other than get its guns in as many hands as possible so progressive presumably care about that too so you go issue by issue peter and this is not actually a close call in 2016 these people who were people who either voted for trump or voted 3rd party thought at what differences may respond when we now know what the implications of donald trump when he get are so people who supported parties or if they can really care about the future of the country and the issues this is not a close call. Well ok but i think you know again if you look at the complexity of the Democratic Party what it what it because now that joe wants to embrace the obama legacy well what about those 505000000 people that were thrown out of their homes when barack obama saved the banks so you would wall street in and main street in people when homeless ok if that is at the normal we want to go back to because i dont see much of the legacy of barack obama that is all about appealing he sold out to the banks and big and to special interests like they always do when they get into power donald trump is doing the same thing dont misunderstand me ok but how and i mean you know richards got a point on some of those points right there but theres a fundamental difference is that the needs of workers particularly right now who is losing their home their health care its not because of donald trump per se its because millions and millions of people are losing their job ok thats what that that is ok i think that for a lot of people joe biden is a retread that was very unimpressive and i think here and heres my question to you and i think the democrats did you know we hugely disservice by having such a. An interesting lackluster primary job was never even challenged on his record ok what did he particularly of all those debates he hardly had to defend his his record because nobody would go there because of democratic orthodoxy its ok because when he comes up against trump trump is going to go for an animal on him weve already seen the ads go ahead of him now and go to new york yet theyre basically counting on people having this sort of haziness l. G. s in the obama era where nobody really remembers what happened in the obamacare which was as you said of massive think theyll outs millions of people being thrown out of their homes the Affordable Care act which was supposed to provide universal health care was actually begin to enter the Insurance Industry as insurance premiums have gone up since then well not a lot especially when the intl mandate d made it so that people you had to pay for insurance or you got. Tax penalty so that wasnt a good thing for the very very many poor people who still have health care and now at least the individual mandate is gone so people can and who cant afford health care and who make too much to get on the medicare plans but dont make enough to actually be able to afford Quality Health care and those people were out of luck and theyre still going to be out of luck because biden has said hell veto medicare for all so i mean people who dont really remember the obama era very well might get excited about joe biden and as you said the democrats didnt challenge him on his record at all because theyre hoping that those people dont remember the obama years very well and its counting on peoples amnesia is really a poor strategy for running a Winning Campaign i mean the only thing that i can think of theyre going to try to make it all about the v. P. And then biden just kind of scenes into the background and whether they pick the 2nd in command completely circumventing the voters wishes were already hearing so much hype about people like stacy abrams who hasnt won any election in 10 kilometers who of course voters proved early on that they didnt like and that was fortunately cabaret took her out on the debate stage but nobody got a chance to take out by his promise it wouldnt do it so i dont know that i think the democrats might have realized they can live with another term of donald trump because he hasnt you know and in any war and he hasnt stopped giving out money to get on him so were asking democrats which dont start a lot theyre going to i think i think to really deliver the baby which richard i think with this election i think is very interesting because of the in the role that Bernie Sanders played in the primary he was very strong base ok i mean a unique base of people giving individual donations to and small donations i mean they did master that part of the campaign if you accept the the master of the message was failed Bernie Sanders egotist didnt have the fire in his belly to win but what i think is interesting about this election is that maybe for the 1st time in a long time anyway this voting. But the lesser of 2 evils may not be in play because i think it is you said i think a lot of people i want maybe sounds and i think a lot of people to sit this one out i think it is going to sit it out particularly progressives going to say im not going to play your game anymore we never get anything from you ever ok we bend the knee we kiss the ring and then you forget about us ok i think a lot of people are saying were not going to play in that game anymore what do you say to them richard. I disagree on a couple counts 1st barack obama sounds like you and hello are in the same boat you dont think much of this presidency everything all the other democrats come through left i come from the right ok obviously thing i just say if you ask democrats whether they would take iraq obama over donald trump course i think even helen would concede that would not be close to right and barack obama characterized joke by as having the single most progressive platform of any democratic nominee ever and thats not much playtime turning out some people think its cabinet hold on and weve seen turnouts weve seen turnout sky high not just frankly in the primaries this year but going back literally since the day after donald trump which went on great it you take city and state and local races let alone the congressional races in 2018 and through the primaries this year democrats are chomping at the bit to have an opportunity to undo the damage that donald trump has done and again maybe you know held probably got some people that she thinks of who think that perfection should be the enemy that good but most democrats dont think that and most democrats are horrified at the damage that has done to the country and we do know it for 4 years unchecked by having to answer to the voters that will motivate democrats if nothing else well again helen so what is the sterling reputation road record of joe biden you know this is a Short Program i cant. The Democratic Party but if the primary indication they left me warmed to joe biden and i will tell you theres a reason you know in the past we talked about election in terms of who would you like to have a beer with i think this year its like who do you want to have somebody who is decent back in the white house or not and i think look joe biden comes from scranton anywhere said on his sleeve and i think he means it hes suffered last personally and he knows what its like to come up to a working class family and i think it again if the if the primary results are a vacation Bernie Sanders appeal to those people got their vote in 2016 and joe biden got them this time around in addition to the very people that you ticked off thats a pretty sizable chunk of the american electorate and you get to the polls or indication today and i would note every swing state donald trump is losing to choke by joe biden its not lose any single state that hillary won in 2016 i picked the margins are big but every single one including states like arizona and North Carolina let alone michigan wisconsin pennsylvania donald trump is losing today to joe biden. Ok you have but helen you know i find it very interesting how the media treats all this because after the the machinations and the the phone calls late in the night after South Carolina also and everything coalesced i mean theres a doctoral dissertation in there somewhere on that ok those 48 hours ok but you know joe biden you know he has a reputation to be in the pocket of the Credit Card Companies also he has his hes never turned away hes never disliked one foreign war. And that and got involved in your continued and of course seriousness of what i would call you know believe women a serious sexual. Accusation against joe biden which the liberal media will not talk about will not talk about it and i remember very clearly the cabinet hearings i was very passionate about the rule of law and the presumption of innocence here but you have the liberal media that does it simply does not want to talk about it ok and they only like the New York Times watching because they only started talking about it when bernie dropped out what a coincidence here so im very disturbed by that cover the liberal media in a free pass that they give joe when they hammer trump every single day maybe rightly maybe wrongly but they camera him ok the media is playing a very Important Role in this election as well go ahead. Yeah its a massive double standard and its just pointing to the further discrediting of the media i mean if everybody polly recalls 20 still it was oh not 5 percent certainty that Hillary Clinton was going to win and Everybody LovesHillary Hillary is just great and then of course election day d came and that wasnt the case so i mean the media running interference for biden in doing this very obvious favoritism as far as hammering on trial for the assault allegations that come from at least in one case a very curious place this this person but in the end by against him. The New York Times waited i think 33 weeks before even mentioning that this thing existed and he read the interview with the editor of the New York Times its utterly embarrassing him trying to cover for basically a complete collapse of journalistic integrity which not with the times has had that in a while anyway but still its the media is doing putting a nail in its own coffin by completely circling the wagons around biden and just giving away all pretense of nonpartisan isnt.
