Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway has tested positive for the coronavirus and is “paring back” his schedule as he quarantines, the university announced Monday.
Holloway, 53, learned of the positive test result on Sunday and has been in strict self-quarantine since he was made aware of his exposure on Wednesday, he wrote in a letter to the Rutgers community.
“I am fortunate, my symptoms are minimal and like a common cold,” Holloway wrote. “I will continue to self-quarantine and closely monitor any health changes.”
Holloway wrote that everyone he has had contact with since his own exposure has been notified and tested.
