US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg left the majority of her estate to her two children but also made a bequest to her longtime housekeeper according to TMZ.
The article states that Elizabeth Salas will receive US$40,000 (NZ$55,360) in cash.
Salas reportedly worked as Ginsburg's housekeeper for over 20 years, and she sat next to current US President Joe Biden when Ginsburg lay in state at the US Capitol last year.
The TMZ report said that Salas "was incredibly close to RBG (Ruth Bader Ginsburg)".
