Owners said capacity was an issue in past years.Along with more space, Fieldwork Brewing has revamped its menu to include a lineup of seasonal pizzas and beers. Available now are pies with unique combinations, such as one with tater tots and aioli, and brews that can be purchased only at the location.Jeffrey Amber, culinary director for Fieldwork, said he is excited about the increase in square footage, describing the Handle District, a stretch of midtown filled with options to grab a drink or bite, as a great place for a meal on the patio on a beautiful Sacramento night."I think it's kind of overlooked how passionate of a food town Sacramento really is," Amber said.Both he and Terrence Tang, general manager of Fieldwork, said the biggest complaint they've received from customers since they opened roughly five years ago was that it was too small.The expansion took over where the Press Bistro used to be along 18th Street and Capitol Avenue before it closed in 2019.The restaurant focuses on Neopolitan-style pizzas, each completely different from the next. The brews available can only be bought from Fieldwork, but delivery options as far out as El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove or Davis are options."No matter whether or not you're quarantining at home and staying safe or venturing out, you'll be able to get our beer whether it's in here or us bringing it to you," Tang said.Another Sneak Peek | Rawr!
