The annual charity road race is aiming to raise $50 million dollars for three beneficiaries - the Annotto Bay and Port Antonio Hospitals, as well as to develop a one-year programme to get the nation’s children back on track with their education. “All donations received during this week (February 15 th – 19 th), Sagicor will match it; over the years, the funds raised for our beneficiaries would come from race registration, tent rentals, cash donations and fund raising executions among Sagicor team members; this year because the run has to be primarily virtually; we won’t see the usual participation of some 25,000 people and we want ensure we meet our target”, said Christopher Zacca, President and CEO, Sagicor Group Jamaica.
