Applications are now being accepted for the Veteran Service Club Support Program after the Saskatchewan government boosted funding for the program from $100,000 to $1.5 million this week.
Registered, non-profit veteran service clubs based in the province are eligible to apply for grants up to $25,000. Applications are now being accepted with two application intake cut-off dates of April 30, 2021 and August 31, 2021.
Chad Wagner, provincial executive director of the Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command, said the whole idea of the grant is to promote viability of veteran service clubs in the province.
“They are mainly geared towards infrastructure and capital improvements such as HVAC systems, roof repairs, flooring, painting, renovations inside and outside – those certain things,” explained Wagner.
