Scott Morrison does not rule out return to Afghanistan : vim

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has not ruled out an Australian return to Afghanistan, if it was safe to do so.
Australia recently shuttered its embassy in Kabul and on June 18 quietly withdrew all Australian Defence Force personnel.
From September 11, 20 years after the Al Qaeda attack on New York's World Trade Centre, the US and NATO forces will no longer have any presence in the war-torn country.

"Were we in a position to safely have Australians in Afghanistan and providing a support to our efforts there, then we would," Mr Morrison said today.
