Security guards for anti-abortion protesters charged with battery, illegal possession of tear gas By KTVU staff Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office on Friday announced that prosecutors had filed misdemeanor charges against two private security guards paid to protect anti-abortion protesters who allegedly clashed with abortion rights activists in Walnut Creek last fall. Ishatpal Momi, 27, of Elk Grove and Peter Reeves, 45, of Sacramento, were each charged with battery and illegal possession of tear gas stemming from a fight that occurred on Oct. 13, 2020, in front of a Walnut Creek Planned Parenthood clinic.
