In a recent
New Jersey Monthly article in their June 2021 article, the publication looked at “7 hidden beaches” here at the Jersey Shore including Brigantine, Higbee Beach, Strathmere, North Wildwood, Popamora Point and two here in Ocean County!
 
 
One is Holgate, Long Beach Island. While Barnegat Light is the northernmost point of LBi, Holgate beach is at the Southernmost point of Long Beach Island. Part of Beach Haven it is a quiet and secluded beach area that is a must see when visiting LBI. You know you reached Holgate, because much like Barnegat Light, the road ends and if you keep going you will be in the Atlantic Ocean lol ��
