But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 Sherry (Ernst) Pilarczyk, 52, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. She was born Nov. 15, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Jack and Jeanette (Thorson) Ernst. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School in 1987, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Iowa. Despite these achievements, her proudest accomplishments, pride and joy was her three kids. She reveled in motherhood and for many years was a stay at home mom. Sherry was a fun and energetic mom, making each day seem like a mini adventure. Her passion for motherhood was readily seen by all and she was excitedly anticipating becoming a grandma soon. Sherry later went on to co-own and manage Honey Creek Acres Orchard in Swisher. For the past several years, she thoroughly enjoyed her work as the principal's secretary at Harrison Elementary School, where she loved and was loved by all the staff and students.
