Makenzie Madsen of West Jordan, Utah, passed away on July 13, 2020, at age 14, after spending nearly a year in the hospital
She was born with congenital heart disease and needed a heart transplant when she was 17 months old, but her heart became weaker as she got older
After going into cardiac arrest in 2019, she spent nearly a year on the heart and kidney transplant list before she died
Now, her sisters Myleigh, nine, and Makayla, seven, are keeping her memory alive with their sidewalk stand, which they painted teal, Makenzie's favorite color
