Police told Patch a small, white Beechcraft aircraft made an emergency landing due to mechanical issues and touched down in the southbound lanes of I-355. According to police, the pilot and three passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Several lanes of traffic are blocked in both directions, according to the Illinois Tollway. Police said the two left lanes on southbound I-355 are closed for the investigation, which is in its "infancy."
