May 17, 2021 A mom in Knoxville, Tennessee, was feeling desperate as she tried to soothe her toddler during a meltdown and a stranger’s act of kindness boosted both of their moods. Ashley Fox was shopping at Walmart with her three-year-old son, Norris, who has autism and is non-verbal. He wanted a stuffed puppy, but it cost more than she expected, so she put it back. Her son had a meltdown because she wouldn’t buy him a stuffed puppy he wanted. She rushed him out of the store and a woman walked to her car and gave the toy to Norris, saying she understood because she has kids, too and wanted to buy it for them.
