Print From a young age, Armand King had an entrepreneurial spirit. From selling his own drawings at 5 years old, he quickly noticed his ability to inspire and persuade others. However, as a young man, “mentorship was lacking” and that same entrepreneurial spirit led him to a life in hustling by age 21. “If someone would have given him a different product he could have been a millionaire,” said King, reflecting on his time growing up. His life story included prison, homelessness and pimping, yet in all those moments King recalled the powerful messaging he received from his family and friends — a message that told him of his genius. It took him awhile to realize that for himself.
