Springfield adds COVID testing site in Indian Orchard

SPRINGFIELD — The city Feb. 17 will open a new weekly COVID-19 testing site at the John F. Kennedy Middle School in Indian Orchard.
Testing will be offered Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school at 1385 Berkshire Ave., officials said Friday.
While residents are encouraged to register online in advance to cut down on wait times, walk-ins will also be accepted, officials said. The site is primarily intended for residents of surrounding neighborhoods.
The Indian Orchard site was announced by Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, and American Medical Response. The city and AMR personnel will establish the testing site.
