The 70 third-grade students of St. Andrew School in Newtown concluded their social studies project on early settlers and pioneers in America with an Immigration Station activity at the school March 30. Then they enacted sailing to Ellis Island in New York and depicted what early immigrants experienced when coming to America for the first time.
