Print San Diego startup incubator EvoNexus has landed Verizon Communications as the co-sponsor of its program for young companies working on technologies that take advantage of faster, low latency 5G mobile networks. The wireless operator is joining EvoNexus’ 5G & Artificial Intelligence Accelerator, along with original corporate backer Qualcomm. “I am really happy with this one,” said Rory Moore, chief executive and co-founder of EvoNexus, of Verizon’s sponsorship. “The 5G program is all about stimulating companies to create new products and new services that are enhanced with 5G — the low latency and big throughput of 5G. Verizon is looking for that. Qualcomm is looking for that.”
