Staying active doesn't have to fit a mold

When I imagine doing cardiovascular exercise, my mind usually turns toward two different scenarios: First, I imagine the uber-"fit" local jogging effortlessly down the road, glistening with sweat, keeping a steady pace regardless of the undulating hills of Jefferson City. Next, I think of the local who maybe, on first sight, doesn't look so put-together while walking the track at the gym, their grey sweats have developed black outlines, and their feet fall a little heavier than their uber-"fit" counterpart. Both of these people are putting in time and effort to exercise their body and raise their heart rate. They are also doing what feels good, what they know is necessary for their health, and, for the sake of my story, what they enjoy.
