Lake Tahoe mountain resorts are reporting several inches of fresh snow overnight and it’s still coming down. Most of the resorts around the lake are reporting 3-7 inches and expect a few more as the Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service in Reno lasts through 10 a.m., although some flurries still may continue to fall. Homewood Mountain Resort reported receiving 7 inches of snow on its summit, Diamond Peak Ski Resort got 5 inches and the rest so far have received 3-4 inches. Chain controls are in effect. Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel drives with snow tires on California State Route 88 from Ham’s Station in Amador County to 1 mile west of Woodfords in Alpine County.
