The prospects for safe, in-person classes continues to brighten â with new research on the limited spread of the virus within schools as well as development of a safe, highly effective vaccines. Payson continued in-person instruction this week with few problems, thanks to the vaccination of most of the teachers. Some 56 students had tested positive on all four campuses, which includes eight at Payson Elementary School, five at Julia Randall Elementary, 14 at Rim Country Middle School and 29 at the high school. Another 16 faculty and staff have tested positive, with six of those at PES and three at RCMS. Another three people have reported COVID-like symptoms, with reported test results.
