TOKYO — At U.S. bases across Japan, planners are arranging Super Bowl viewing parties they say are safe alternatives to small, private gatherings that have sparked several coronavirus clusters since November. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest social events in American culture, and traditionally a day to share food, drinks and camaraderie among U.S. service members and their families overseas, pandemic or no pandemic.
